This will undoubtedly be the best game of the season as in these two teams are some of the best amateur players in the county. We will give the line-up of both teams in next week's Patriot." November 17, 1902 Monday evening edition "Arrangements for the great local football contest Thanksgiving afternoon on the Watts field are about perfected. The game is called at 2 o'clock. The line-up of the two teams is as follows:
December 1, 1902 Monday evening edition "The football game on Thanksgiving Day between the Chatham and Hyannis elevens was not a great success, as it was played in a dizzling (sic) rain storm. Considering the conditions the game was well-played, and although the Hyannis boys had a walkover, the visitors put up a good game. The score was 26-0."
