The
1916 Season, From the pages of The Hyannis Patriot
On the line for the High school Hansberry, Smith, Mitchell and Bearse put up a good game, and the whole backfield did well. Ames showed a flash of form when he went across with the ball for the only touchdown. The features of the game were the tackling of Rodin and the line bucking of Leo Lewis for the All-Stars, also carrying of the ball by O'Neil for the High school. The line-up - All stars: Darling, L.E.; Cash, L.T.; Taylor, L.G.; Murphy, C.; Lewis, R.G.; Rodin, Brooks, R.T.; H. Bearse, R.E.; Ormsby, Q.B.; Cotelle, L.H.B.; Taylor, R.H.B.; Finklestein, F.B.

In the afternoon at Hyannis on Chase's Field, the
tired but courageous High school team battled against heavy odds when
they were defeated 14-0 by the older and heavier Hyannis All-Stars.
Walter Hallett, of Springfield Y.M.C.A College, Leo Lewis, Robbins,
Ormsby, Seth Crocker and other famous players gave the spectators much
pleasure in their reappearance in the game.
