Notes: In a late September 1924 edition of the Hyannis Patriot the upcoming high school football season was noted, as was the team's schedule versus New Bedford (Voke), Durfee, Tabor Academy, Powder Point (Duxbury) and Provincetown. Although BHS played Falmouth that season, it was not noted in the season preview in the Patriot. The Patriot did note, however, that Harold Keaney, former captain of the freshmen at Penn State -- who later transferred to Bowdoin College -- was hired to serve as the boys football head coach. He was the first coach hired, in any sport, at BHS. |
