Note:
This was a banner year for the Red & White, and almost an undefeated
season. The true star was none other than Dan Hostetter whose running
and defensive exploits sparked huge margins of victory for the Red Raiders.
Captain and defensive powerhouse Dan McEvoy suffered a broken leg in the
midst of battle versus Falmouth on Turkey Day... Miss Diane Ballard was
named 1961 Football Queen... Dan Hostetter also finished the season with 112 points, leading Eastern Massachusetts in scoring.... he also led the Tri-County Conference in scoring that season... and scored each of the Red Raiders' three touchdowns on Thanksgiving Day versus Falmouth. |
