Historical notes: The Red Raiders' 13-7 double-OT win over Everett at Everett Veterans Memorial Stadium was the first time in Barnstable's 120-year football history that it defeated the Crimson Tide. The win propelled BHS to a #1 ranking in Eastern Massachusetts; Barnstable's win over B-R gave it back-to-back OCL titles for the first time since 1961-62 and it was the first time BHS beat B-R on the road since 2002... the Red Raiders 39 points on Thanksgiving Day put the team at 376 points for the season... the most ever by an individual Red Raider gridiron team in school history. |
