In spite of sustaining a severe and debilitating injury in his junior year, Tug Maki still made the most of his time as a Red Raider, scoring 202 points his senior season in basketball and serving as captain of the team.

His prowess on the baseball diamond was to the degree that his teammates named him captain as a junior. During the course of the pre-season, however, Tug suffered a serious injury and missed the remainder of his junior season.

Regardless, Maki lettered in four sports as a Red Raider, one of the true, rare feats not matched by many in the annals of Red Raider lore.

After high school, Maki went on to great success as a three-sport letterman in college and a distinguished career in the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

He was inducted into the Barnstable High School Athletic Hall of Fame in its inaugural class in 2000.
