BIO
Few athletes in the history of Barnstable High School have had the sort of immediate and sustained impact that Centerville’s Carrie Bosworth had from 1994 until her graduation in 1998. For three straight seasons, Tom Turco’s volleyball teams did not lose a single game, ripping off 80 straight wins with Bosworth a prominent cog in the Turco machine. Over those 80 games, Bosworth and her girls lost just 8 sets, including games played in three straight postseason runs that culminated in three straight Division 1 State Championship titles.
In girls basketball, Bosworth helped lead the Red Raiders to a 32-15 run over the course of her sohomore and junior seasons prior to captaining the team in her senior campaign.
And in softball, while the Red Raiders did not fare that well, Bosworth held her own, earning two letters and the role as the squad’s top pitcher for both years she played. She was inducted into the BHS Hall of Fame in 2007.
