Christine Frauton is arguably one of the best student-athletes to ever grace the halls of Barnstable High School — period.
Ranked as the fourth all-time highest scorer (male and female combined) in basketball, Frauton helped pace Dr. Keith Clarke’s teams from 1992 to 1996 to an astounding 69-24 mark highlighted by 23 consecutive victories in the 1994-1995 campaign (23-1). over the course of three seasons this shooting guard helped lead BHS to a 59-13 mark crowned by the Old Colony League championship in 1994-95.

On the heels of dismal 6-12 records in her freshman and sophomore seasons in soccer, Frauton took charge and paced the Red Raiders to an incredible 27-6-5 mark in her junior and senior campaigns. These two teams are considered the greatest two girls soccer teams ever fielded at Barnstable High School.

In softball, Frauton made her presence known the moment she set foot onto the BHS diamond her freshman year as she compiled a 9-5 record on the pitcher’s mound for coach Bob Kahelin, a team that went 11-9 overall when the dust settled. She was inducted into the BHS Hall of Fame in 2007.
