BIO
Osterville native Dan Hostetter attended the Trinity Pawling School in upstate New York, before returning to Barnstable High School for his senior year and he wasted little time in establishing himself as one of the Red Raiders’ all-time greats on the gridiron, capturing national high school All-American honors and leading the region scoring. His coups-de-grace? A three-touchdown performance versus Falmouth on Thanksgiving Day in a 20-6 win that put an exclamation on the Red & White’s first football championship season in nearly a decade. Under third-year head coach John “Jack” Parker, and along with backfield coach and older brother Ray Hostetter Jr., Dan Hostetter helped return pride to the cornerstone sport at BHS. Following graduation, Hostetter went on to play football at Boston College.
Daniel was inducted into the BHS Athletic Hall of Fame in 2000.
