On the football field, few fellow Red Raiders carried themselves with the poise, grace and determination that quarterback Mickey Fein did from 1992 to 1994 as the precocious and gifted helmsman set numerous passing records and helped lead BHS to a 7-3 mark his sophomore season and a 7-2-1 mark his junior year. To this date, Fein holds tightly to the top two passing games and three of the top 10 passing games in the history of BHS varsity football.

But it was on the Red Raider parquet that Fein truly revealed his natural athletic ability, leading the Red Raiders in scoring for three straight seasons and when the dust settled at the end of his senior campaign he had set the all-time male scoring mark with 1,361 points. This record would mean that any player thereafter would have to average more than 17 points per game — every game — for all four years of high school. It is a mark that may never be broken.

Fein graduated from Barnstable in 1995 and he went on to set numerous passing records in four fantastic seasons as quarterback of the UMaine Bears. he is now the offensive coordinator at Murray State (KY). He was inducted into the BHS Hall of Fame in 2007.
