BIO

A superlative, gutsy catcher for Rollie Hicks’ Capeway Conference championship baseball club of 1972, Bobby Moore (pictured standing, third from right), helped lead the Red Raiders to a 48-14-1 record over three springs, while also serving as one of Barnstable’s most prolific scorers in ice hockey.

In his senior campaign alone, Moore combined with his twin brother and fellow hall of famer Billy Moore to outscore opponents in game after game, pacing the Red & White to the school’s first-ever state championship in ice hockey. All totalled, Moore netted 14 goals, including a hat trick in the state championship game at the old Boston Garden in Barnstable’s 11-2 win over Amherst Regional.

As captain of soccer, Moore led BHS to its first-ever 10-plus win season in 1971. He was inducted into the BHS Hall of Fame in 2008.
