BIO
A rare three-sport captain, Sharon Sexton, now the associate athletic director at Lewis & Clark College (Oregon), was to Barnstable High School athletics in the early 1990s perhaps its shining model of athletic accomplishment.
As one of volleyball legend Tom Turco’s early stars, Sexton helped form the foundation for Barnstable’s future domination in the sport. Moreover, her efforts and early record-setting pace on the BHS volleyball court, could be deemed as trend-setting for all of Massachusetts high school athletics. She was inducted into the BHS Hall of Fame in 2008.
