Barnstable High School Girls Spring Track 1993

Historical Notes: Nicole Way finished in 1st place in the 200m (26.7) and 1st in the triple jump at the OCL Meet on 5-26-93. Her mark in the triple jump (36’9.75″) set a new OCL and school record (girls). At the Durfee Freshmen-Sophomore Invitiational, Way took 1st in the long jump and set a meet record with her mark of 15’2″; She also finished in 1st place in the 200m (27.2) and was named the Meet Outstanding Athlete. Sarah Johnson took first place in the mile (5:31.4) and Lisie Antkowiak took first in the discus with her mark of 95’3″; At the State Coaches’ Meet on 5-8-93, Antkowiak set a new school discus record of 108′, breaking Lisa Goveia’s old mark of 106′. Antkowiak had set an earlier personal best at the Somerset Relays on 4-17-93 with a discus throw of 104.10″.

Nicole Way also qualified for the All-States with her 3rd place finish in the 200m and 4th place mark in the triple jump at the EMass. Division 1 Meet, followed by Sarah Johnson who took 2nd place in the 800m.
