*Dr. Heman B. Chase, who in 1905 was studying at Harvard Medical School, is the first-known head coach of Barnstable High School football. Please see the historical notes of 1905 for more details. Warren Bowen, who founded the program in 1893, served as the team's captain as a junior. He also served as its coach and manager, all roles as a student, according to newspaper stories from that era.

**Chris Whidden was hired as new Red Raider football coach on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2011. He also served as head coach on Thanksgiving Day 2010, picking up his first career win as varsity head football coach.
